On the Labour Day weekend, I attended the Natural and Organics Supershow at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was an extensive and well-attended expo open to the general public on all things “natural and/or organic”. A wide range of products and services
The stall holders ranged from organic meat, vegetable and pantry item producers and suppliers, beauty and skincare products, cleaning and personal care products, supplements and specialty diet foods and ingredients. This was a great opportunity to meet suppliers and manufacturers and learn more about these products, than what a local shop assistant might be able to share with you. You may also discover fantastic new products that we do not get much exposure to here in the Ballarat region. Always read the labels I would advise a word of caution to anyone thinking of attending similar events that one can be very easy to be fooled by impressive displays, well-trained salespeople and bright informative brochures. Not everything at a closer inspection was natural and organic, or lived up to its labeling (such as paleo products containing cane sugar or legumes). It’s a good idea before attending your next health and wellbeing expo to make sure that you do some research regarding the products that you might be interested in. Before making any decisions take their brightly coloured informative brochures home and do your investigations when you are not pressured. Accessing new information The other highlight from this event was the fantastic nationally and internationally renowned guest speakers providing informative and entertaining presentations on natural beauty, healthy living, living with allergies, paleo eating, natural and organic cooking, and cooking for people with food intolerances. If you are looking for some inspiration to take the next step on your journey towards health, consider attending a healthy living expo or wellness summit. You won’t regret it!
