Unlike acupuncture, Dry Needling is a technique where fine needles are inserted into tight, contracted areas within the muscles. If you have ever experienced trigger point therapy with your remedial massage therapist, chiropractor or physiotherapist, then dry needling is a more specific, deeper and slightly more intense technique that targets these same areas. It may be more effective than regular trigger point therapy techniques.
If you experience muscle pain, choosing a practitioner who utilises dry needling might just give you the edge that you need to get back to doing whatever it is you love doing most.
At Catalyst Massage I use Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling techniques in conjunction with other Remedial Massage techniques depending on every patient’s individual requirements.
